On Leave......

My sister recently introduced me to the family of one of her students. When the mom, Roxanne contacted me, she told me her son was going to be home on leave from the Navy and that they need to get some family pictures done. I was excited to do pictures for someone whom I had never met before, but had no idea how awesome it would be to see it through the lens of a camera. The love that radiated from the Sanchez family was incredible, and a true blessing. To see the respect and admiration that those girls had for their big brother brought me such joy. I can only hope and pray that the men and women of our armed forces everywhere could have such families. It was an awesome start to my day!

Soy bean and Lan.........

This was a family session with my Best friend for over 20 years and her two precious babies. It was a long day for these two...and very cold. Our session did not start off easy at all. I forgot by back up memory card at her house, and then when we got to location and poor Sawyer got the door shut on his head. Landry wiped the mud off her boots with her hands...then wiped her hands off on her cream shirt. Somehow, we managed to get some pretty decent shots in the midst of all the chaos.

Danny and Brooklyn...

Today, I got to capture a few moments in the lives of Danny and Brooklyn. Their mother has been one of my best friends since I was 10 years old. These two kiddos have so much energy and are literally miniature versions of their mom and dad. Hope you enjoy these bright smiles!

My Sunshine...

Everyday of my life I thank God for this beautiful little boy. He is my world. I don't know any kid with more resilience, more faith, and more joy. This is my son,
and I love him with all my heart.

I LOVE MY DOG!

Growing up, I was constantly around German Shepherds. My Grandfather was a K-9 officer for Southern Pacific Railroad in Colton and the love he had for his dogs was passed on to my father, and to us. This is Ben, named after the Disney character Gentle Ben the Bear. He is my protector, and he is AWESOME!

First Shoot......

So while this is something I have been very interested in for a long time, it is something I have never been able to truly pursue. I had a career. Now I don't. And so, as I pursue further education, I have decided that it's now or never. This is more than a hobby for me. Its a passion. I love capturing those moments- the ones you wish you could have back after life passes you by. What better place to start than with family. So my first photo shoot, of course, included a lot of family. Enjoy!
